Registry entry CertName

Before sending encrypted print data, the server checks whether the name of the

imported certificate is included in the CertName entry in the client machine’s Reg-

istry and whether the stored certificate is present on the client. The CertName entry

in the Registry can be entered with the Custom Installation Wizard

or manually as

follows:

1. After the certificate has been imported, create the following Registry entry on

the client machines with

REGEDIT (Illus. 22; data type: reg_sz):

hkey_local_machine\software\thinprint\client\CertName
